some probably do, some probably don't. Regardless, that's more of a
political decision than a scientific one. Assessing the safety of a
drug isn't a political issue.....it is either safe or it isn't.
yes, and what if the government approved a drug that's sole purpose was
to kill club-footed kids. the scientific community proved that the drug
was safe. would you hold that pharmacies should be required to stock it?
We were talking about the over the counter vs. rx thing with respect to
this phase of the argument, so.......
we were?
I thought we picked up when enright claimed that some scientific people
saying the morning after pill shouldnt be otc'ed. Nobody questions the
legality of the morning after pill as a drug in this country, just
whether it should be rx or otc......
ok, fair point.
Yes, if it was determined that this drug used to kill club-footed kids
was as safe as standards dictate for OTC meds then it should be OTC'd.
didn't boshamp already prove you're morally bankrupt?
I don't think so. Regardless, your ridiculous example
what's ridiculous about it? ok, then let's say the US government has
(nazi-style, but constitutionally upheld by the SCOTUS) decided to get
rid of anyone with african DNA back 4 ancestors. if a doc finds african
DNA, he's supposed to prescribe a special pill that will only kill
someone with that DNA (scientific tests confirm the pill works and won't
harm anyone else).
i presume you would approve of a law requiring all pharmacists to carry
this pill on pain of losing their business, right?
If the business is as heavily regulated as pharmacies, of course.
why 'of course'? you think because the government decides something that it means we all have to bow down to it?
Any other assinine examples you'd like to trot out?
what's asinine about it?
