I advocate a big rules change

How about this, with the uprights where they are now if on a kickoff
the kicker can kick one between the uprights, it counts as a field
goal.

I thought I heard that if you fair catch the kicker on your team can
kick off from where you caught it and its a field goal, is that or
anything like it true?
