The telescope was designed to look into deep space, where objects are, for
all intents and purposes, stationary.

Taking a picture of a near-earth object, like The Moon or Mars, is very
difficult for the telescope, which wasn't built to track objects in obvious
motion.

So yes, for the telescope the way it was built, that's the best it can do.
