My point was not about drinking, it was about getting drunk. My two
sons kept the distilleries working nights in the 80s. One is now a
teetotaller but the other went to UK and if you follow UK football I
excuse drunkenness.

But I am from the 40s when we didn't need a drunken crutch. I expect
much less from later generations and they seldom disappoint me.
Drinking is okay - becoming even stupider is not.
