There was a rumor that there were suicide bombers in the crowd. A rumor made believable by the mortar shells that had been fired at the crowd earlier.


The death toll in this tragedy is now ~1000.

My mocking Subject line stemmed from the fact that at first I couldn't find any mention of it on any news service that I ordinarily read. .
