It was my casette tape collection! My once proud collection that I started way back in the early 1980s with "Boston" and carried with me until I purchased my first CD player sometime in the early 90s. Some observations:

A couple of WTF moments...greatest hits albums from "The Hollies," "Bad Company" and "America."

The summer of 1989 and my obsession with Pink Floyd. It was during that summer that I puchased all of their albums, including some of their really early, and retroactively really bad crappe. That was also the summer I met my now wife. I remember driving with her on a two hour car ride and listening to "Atom Heart Mother" and "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" and her saying it was "great." Now if I put that on in the car it would be "turn that shit off!!!" Ah, young love...

Gotta love the typical 80s college albums: "Life's Rich Pagent," "The B52s," and "The Violent Femmes."

And some great ones that I have yet to replace with CDs: "Who's Next," "The Doors," and "Zenyatta Mondatta."

That was a great couple of hours listening to that stuff. (My eight year old loves "Rock Lobster.")

Oh, and there was also an envelope filled with debit card receipts from the bank we had in Indiana.
