Whenever the attitude of the non-ultimate community shifts
from "holy hell this sport doesn't have dogs?!?" or "That
guy just dove for a Frisbee! i mean he actually dove!" to
"That sky was unheard of, but i could've done without the
neon hat.." then this thread might be relevant.

first ya got to sell yourself before people stop mistaking ultimate
with k9 disc. ultimate is already in a pit, a deep yawning casm, when
it come to its reputation......so it should do everything possible to
dig itself out........as cheif wiggim once said, "dig up"

made an excellent point. When people are exposed to ultimate
the things they notice are the athleticism, the strategy,
the effort, and more importantly all the cool shit that
happens! It's not the hats or wristbands they wear.

you dont know that. and what about espn executives and potential
sponsors.....you dont think they look at the ENTIRE PACKAGE? so why
not make the best possible impression ya can?

I think that when it's all said and done people want to see
exciting, clean, competitive ultimate. They don't care about
the aesthetics.

we really want people to appreciate this sport then how
about we actually let them know what it is first.

no reason you cant look professional by doing so......that way your
killing two birds with one stone.........get refs and you'll be
killing three
