Re: Censorship, RSD, and Toad

me: Toad, I'm figuring that you haven't had time to read all the way
through the stuff you missed.  The language you quote out of context
here seems to read as though Jeff thought that those who banned you
were being hypocritical (i.e., punishing the guy who is most vocally
pro-ref by "refereeing" his speech, which would seem to undercut their
likely pro-self-officiating stance), while I supported the ban.

i was actually readin it as its hypocritical for the complainers (hank
and co) to resort to the use of impartial arbatration here on rsd when
they are so opposed to it "on the field". maybe we can get a
clarification from the original poster.

However, assuming I read Jeff's post correctly, he was not criticizing
those who banned you, but rather saying that the actions of those who
banned you were similar to the actions that a referee of an ultimate
game would take.

or any sport for that matter.......or any arbatrater(authority figure)
even in a non sport situation.

He was implying that you had gotten a taste of what
you are promoting: having a dispute you are involved in being
controlled by a third party.

i guess that depends on whos side he was on.......of which, wishfull
thinking told me he was on mine. i could be wrong though.

I was saying that this was an "apples
and oranges" comparison.

yea......i just dont see it that way.

You are right that I have not "bought into this ... analogy."
Limiting a person's ability to speak their mind is a lot more serious
than making a call in a game, and is usually a lot less useful.

well, luckily we are in america and not china. Aint nobody limiting
my ability to speak my mind. theres just some candy ass tattle tales
about. Thing is, these chumps unwhittingly, as ed implied, brought
more attention to the whole issue than if they had just ignored my
offensiveness. So i dont look it(the failed attempt to shut me up) as
a limitation, i look at it as an enhancement to my plight. Now as for
being a stoolie, thats a whole different can o worms there. And one
that would yield a good ole fasion ass whoopin where i'm from. Of
course the stoolie(s) will have to live with the fact that they are
indeed stoolies.......which could be even worse that the ass whoopin
they deserve.
