Cyle strikes again. What's fascinating to me is that there hasn't yet
been a deluge of teams saying they won't participate. Talk about
stoners not being able to make decisions!

Let's review:

New league announced, one of the two guys in charge stole money from
his own teammates in the recent past. Their intent is to decapitate
the UPA's involvement in college ultimate by setting up a competing
championship. Yet there are few details.  Rsd shitstorm. vague
"details" come out, with claims that every tournament in christendom
is now controlled by them. Website goes up. Changes are made because
of false claims on original site (for instance: turns out NOT every
tournament in christendom is contolled by them).. Website goes down.
New website goes up. More undeliverable promises made. Say not only
are they going to run a for-profit entity BUT will also run a direct
competitor of the UPA. With the wolves shepherding of the little lambs
there won't be conflicts of interest, or something. Source code
stolen. Website goes down. Promise of a new website on November 17.
Complete lack of clarity as to what the latest revised "league"
struture is anyway. Doubts as to field availibility in region where
they say they will hold the Ginormo Bowl. Etc....

Aside to Matty: While you might call stealing source code smart, let's
remember that these guys aren't setting up a one-off tournament.
They're trying to capture the college ultimate market, and the dollars
that represents. As a business entity they will have various potential
liabilities and the fact that they cut corners (and so stupidly) on
the law is a good reason not to do business with them. If they get
their way, they will soon have a large chunk of change from college
ultimate players yet they may have creditors, liens, lawsuits, etc...
that could strip them of that cash. Not saying that's likely (clearly
the Obama guy is not going to sue them). But given their short track
record, I certainly wouldn't take that chance.

I did point out that it was likely illegal, and really meant that only
"legal" code use was smart and efficient.
I should have said that if it was illegal or they didn't check out if
it was illegal, well let's just say that's a termination event in my
company.
