To Ma$e and dsb, I offer the Potlatch challenge.
Put together a mixed team of your own choice, provided both of you are
on it. Then, come to Potlatch and play our team in the showcase game.
Assuming either of you can actually field a decent team, the TD might
actually go for it. Chances are, I would guess, is that they do not
have any women friends. my guess, too, is that you could not field
the men to beat our mixed team.

I would have to disagree with Ma$e. His theory may be true to some
extent of teams on the cusp and maybe a limited few of the top mixed
teams. But no one is winning a legit mixed tournament this season
without having damn good women and using them. Maybe this idea comes
from the fact that men generally make more "big" or "exciting" plays
so it seems they are used more than women. Several co-ed teams this
season have run a 4/3 women with all 4 women playing upfield and being
very effective doing so.
Hey he didn't say anything about the women being bad, or the teams not
using them. I'm sure they are utilized very well at, you know,
cooking dinner, washing the jerseys, etc, and I'm sure they're damned
good at it too. And as far as the 4 women upfield thing - certainly
required because the only people who could throw were the 3 men.
Probably run a full field dominator. Or let's call it what it is, a
maninator (btw, you know what the opposite of a maninator is? A
TURNOVER! Hahaha I'm here all week). So where's your proof that the
good teams use their women...

mixed tournaments from across the country.

There are some damn good players and teams in the Mixed division this
year and it will be a battle to qualify for nationals in most
Regions. Go out and watch your local Regionals competition, Mixed,
Mens, and Womens.
Um, a list of elite level tournaments. You know something about those
tournaments? Run by men. That website? Made by a man. Who's on RSD
arguing about this stuff? MEN!
But I guess at least the women's division isn't being dominated by HS
teams - maybe the younguns haven't learned this great force women in
women trend I keep hearing about (that keeps cracking me up)! (check
the RRI - there are some damn old HS kids out there nowadays).

The past couple of years in Mixed you're seeing the development of a
revolutionary offensive strategy. The trick is to not throw to your
women and only throw to your men. It's worked for years in Open and is
starting to make the jump to mixed.
Defensively, force their women to touch the disc, turnovers are bound
to happen. I believe that's the strategy that Riot used to win back-to-
back titles in 2004-2005.- Hide quoted text -
