The 17th Annual College Easterns tournament is next weekend, April 1st
and 2nd.
Using a format loosely based on the World Cup soccer draw, this year' s
tournament has a twist in that the teams are going to be placed in 4
pools of 4 based on tiers instead of by straight seeding.
Placement within each tier will be random and we'll draw out the first
two tiers (Top-4 and NC teams) tonight (Sunday) and the last two Monday
night.
Below are how the teams have been divided up into different tiers and a
few rules retricting what pool a team can in:
TOP-4 (Based on RPI)
--------------------------------------
#7 William & Mary
#17 Harvard
#22 NC State
#23 Pittsburgh
NC
--------------------------------------
Duke
East Carolina
North Carolina
Wake Forest
AC (non NC)
--------------------------------------
Central Florida
Charleston
Florida State
Tennessee
SPECIAL
--------------------------------------

UNC-Wilmington -- host team. ECU showcase game last round Saturday.
Georgia Southern -- non Emory pool.
