Not that I care about mixed (other than stealing all my open players),
but you should re-read your post before you post it. Also, re-read the
parts of Adam's post that you quoted and make sure you understand it.
Especially the part about "other applicable information such as team
composition during or prior to the Series" and "input solicited from
all the captains of participating teams".
you wrote:

It DOES matter if their roster is packed with Condors, since that is
"team composition during or prior to the Series". If they've played no
tournaments but sectionals (where they gave up 9 points in 6 games),
then you can use those scores together with the information that
they're loaded with tons of good players to give them a high seed.
You're proposing that they be penalized for only having played at
Sectionals by not considering the players that are on their team.
Also, if all the captains in the region are telling the RC that HT is
awesome and should be ranked high because they tore it up 2 years ago
and they've added a bunch of solid players, the RC should consider that
information when seeding HT, especially since they've only played at
sectionals.

If there is no record between the two teams, then you can use things
such as roster composition and input from other captains to rank them.
The situation that you both beat Axis could be completely different.
Maybe they beat Axis because Axis had 6 injured players and decided not
to try very hard in the game and rest for the backdoor bracket. Maybe
ya'll beat Axis when they had their full team and were trying their
damndest to win. Sure, it is good data (the relative scores between
both of ya'll and Axis), but it is by no means the only information you
should consider, especially if something like resting for the backdoor
occured.

Of course it matters. See "team composition before or during the
Series"

Wait, didn't you just say it doesn't matter if Axis had a full team or
not? Then why does it matter if SP had a full team? You can't have it
both ways.
Obviously, it does matter when a team competes with a depleted roster
and will have an improved roster at a future tournament.
You're very clearly biased towards the East Coast teams when you're
making your arguments. Now, they very well may be better than a lot of
the other teams out there, I have no idea, I don't watch mixed, but you
can't make the depleted roster argument for bumping one team up (Soul
Patrol) and then ignore that same argument to bump another team down
(Axis). Also, a teams past performances (not only the last year)
definately influences how captains will view that team. If the whole
roster of HangTime was called Jake the Snake and claimed no affiliation
with the past HangTime team, do you think they'd be getting the same
respect/fear from other captains? I doubt it.
Back to ignoring mixed,
