Similar to the Question posed by Andrew Fox, Here's a list of Cliche's
that commentators/players/ex-players use with absolutely no basis

1) All Decisions Even Out
2) A Fielder 100% knows whether he has caught the ball cleanly or not
3) You carry momentum into the next match (i.e if you score 674/6
there is no way in hell you'll get dismissed for 215)
4) If you can't defend 400, you deserve to lose

I think you're misrepresenting 3). The claim I heard over and over was that it was actually England who carried the momentum forward by managing to scramble a draw in T1 which 'felt' like a victory.
