Does this mean what I think it means...

"This is between ICC and Darrell Hair. It doesn't concern us. Our
biggest issue is that we want to play in front of British crowds and we
decided that at 9.30 this morning. He [Hair] backed out of what he said
to the ICC, the offer. He says one thing and then another. What he is
thinking and how it will affect us I do not know."
Pakistan team manager, Zaheer Abbas
Somehow I missed it, but is Zaheer saying that an agreement had been
reached to
restart play on the morning of Day 5 -- one that had been reached in
agreement with
the ICC and Darrell Hair -- and that Hair reneged on his agreement, and
refused to
umpire???
I'm not wondering (at least now) if this statement is true, or if
indeed you believe that
the match could have restarted or was right to be restarted - but
whether Zaheer did
make that statement, and whether the "this morning" he was referring to
is the 5th
day of the Test...
In which case, this is an old statement of his, and would be highly
relevant to the
entire discussion. Namely, that an agreement to restart had been
reached with Hair,
the ICC, and both teams, and was scuttled right before the game on D5.
This seems
completely contradictory to what I think transpired -- that all
Pakistan did on Day 5,
was return to the ground to get their gear? Were there fans in the
stands on D5?
Did people think the game was going to restart??
