If I've told Tom once, I've told him a hundred times: stick to
scrumpy from reputable suppliers. But does he listen?

I'm confused now. The rules state clearly that an overseas player
can't be replaced if he gets injured, but in that case why does the
BBC article go on about Gloucestershire trying to arrange a
replacement?

It's quite simple. As Tom says, "If we are going to go for a like for
like replacement, we've got to look around and see when such a person
might be available." A possible like for like replacement would be
someone like Alex Tudor, like, but there are rumours that he might not
currently be injured. When ("if") he is, Gloucester can sign him and
since he won't actually be playing it's all completely kosher!
(Unfortunately, Tom is under the impression that Tudor is actually
Belgian, for which I can only blame Robert Henderson.)
