This is certainly one of the more profound statements in recent RSB history.
Let me decipher it for you: a pro boxer wouldn't be an effective boxer
if he has to worry about getting ground and pounded in a real fight.
This applies to the street and in MMA style fights. There generally are
no rules in the streets which give the advantage to the most skilled
fighter, unless weapons are introduced of course.

I would have said that you were mixing apples and oranges, but really, you're mixing apples, oranges, and mangos. You accept that boxers are participants in one sport and skilled in that sport and that MMAers are participants in a different sport and skilled in that sport. Fair enough. But then you keep using a third event, "fighting" or "street-fighting," as part of your argument. If boxers lack the skills to participate at the highest level in MMA events and MMAers lack the skills to participate at the highest level of boxing, the logical extension of that is that both MMAers and boxers lack the skills to participate at the highest level of the third event, "street-fighting," because the logical extension is also that there are participants in "street-fighting" that have skills at street-fighting that both MMAers and boxers lack.
If you want to talk about MMA, then compare one MMAer to other MMAers. It wastes time to compare MMAers to boxers.
