Re: F*ck The APA !

Tom, you know I love you, but there's a reason for having your ID on hand.
This is in the rules, which you were supposed to have read, and I'm sure
you signed an affidavit saying you'd read them. You have some
responsibility to know the rules (and not depend on someone else to tell
you), so it isn't quite fair to blame the organization for your ignorance.
:-)

... and, it's against the law to drive without your license, so I'm sure
if you were to have gotten pulled over, the police/highway patrol would've
written you a ticket even if you said you didn't know you were supposed to
carry it with you.

And it's minions ! Well after spending most of the week sick to my

the last 2 days due too high humidity and little A/C going into last nite
I was suddenly reminded much to my team mates and my own personal shame
that I was right about the APA and the idiot league operators in my area
that run it when I quit for good the last time .

I gave up pool completely (not even a single game) in 1994 after winning
a trip to Vegas in 1994
because of getting screwed out there , I have been very vocal here about
my disdain for the APA , But allowed myself to get talked into playing
the APA again ( after 12 years) this past session because I figured that
in my search to improve my game the more I played the better I would get ,
I found that the process of getting to the playoff's are now a bit
diifferent than it used to be from what I remembered but got used to it ,
I have had a good session and have been playing pretty sporty at times so
when my Captain asked me to anchor again last nite because once again our
2 6's failed to show up and in the process of matching up and our losing
the first 2 matches it became necessary to win the next 3 in a row I said
OK .

I didnt think I would get a chance to play but when my team mates pulled
off and won the next round and it looked like we might win the next match
as well I nervously began to pace the floor like I always do , Our
opponents were joking with us and we were all having a good time right up
until I shook my opponents hand and we bent over to lag , that was when
they suddenly decided it was necessary to see my I.D. . !

Much to my dismay I remembered that it was in my other vehicle that I had
been going to drive but at the last minute I decided to drive my van which
gets better mileage. My back doctor had made me quit wearing a wallet
years ago because it had been messing me up and the cause of my hip being
1/2" out of socket causing sciatica and a great deal of pain !

We Lost due to that because I didnt know ! I was never told ! I now am too
ashamed to look my teammates in the face and have decided to quit playing
again !

Just wanted to let you all know what happened , I am done with Pool again
! Game Over !
I am outta here !

Tom S- Off to lick his wounds ! ( And my game had been getting much
better than it had ever been , I thought I was over the hump , Never once
thought I would get humped instead ! )
