Can someone point me to a resource about how to choose the correct stick length and weight?

The best advice would be to pick a stick that you are comfortable with , as far as I know there is no "magic" solution ! Picking a stick is a lot of fun , the first thing you do is set the maximum amount you are willing to spend and then research the cues that fall into your price range , most cues are a standard length and the weights on most cues can be swapped to any weight you desire . Just pick one you are the most comfortable with !
