At least now the US team is FIFA rated a bit more realistically at #16
although I think Mexico deserves to be above them (they are #18).

I have to disagree. I think France had some better pure athletes, but I
think Italy was the better "team". I also agree that Portugal was a great
"team" too, but they also didn't have enough pure athletic talent required
at that level.
I think the best two teams were both eliminated when they played each
other. Those 2 teams being Argentina and Germany. Argentina were outright
eliminated and that match took too much out of the Germans for them to
bounce back in time to beat Italy.
Definitely in the second half. But goals are what counts and it was
Italy's day.
