Yes, only a matter of time. There were countless close calls
with inattentive drivers in my motorcycle riding days, but my
worst enemy was my own style of driving.

On my first bike, a 175cc Harley I tried a sharp turn on a gravel
driveway at 5 mph and it flopped over on my leg to reward me
with my first road rash.

Then on a 350cc Velocette I went off-road on a dry creekbed
bouncing at 30 mph until the chain broke and slapped me from
my *** to my shoulder, leaving a painful bruise.

Finally on an 883cc Harley at 60 mph I hit the end of a 3-foot
retaining wall head-on. When my legs reached the handlebars
I was launched spinning in the air until I hit the parking lot
pavement about 40 feet away. Not much blood - just huge
swollen painful immobilizing black/blue/red/yellow/purple bruises
everywhere which lasted for weeks. **

That was the end of my riding days. I finally got the message.
I'm Lucky I did. Now they sell bikes that will go 150 mph.

Best regards to all RSBers.

Rodan.

** I was racing another biker to a pool hall at the other end
of the parking lot, so this post is pool-related.
