Gator Alley was unkind to UK tonight as UK was blown off the court in the

Indeed, Florida's Green and Noah could probably have carried the second
half off for Florida by themselves, the way they were playing tonight in
Gainesville.

Florida 95, UK 80, counting an unopposed last-second three by UK.

UK's still got a long way to go, and got into trouble in the second half by
getting away from the Sparks-Rondo 1-2 combo that they've been running and
which worked well in the first half.

(And maybe-- maybe we need another seven- footer.)

UK really misses Chuck Hayes.

I understand your pain. There is plenty of talent on the UK team and
Tubby is a very good coach (in spite of what some trolls might say).
There is something missing, though. When the Gators went on their big
run just to take a double digit lead after UK scored the first two
baskets of the second half to go up 6, you could see the look of
resignation in the eyes of the Kentucky players. The "fight" just
wasn't there. I've never seen that before with a Kentucky team in the
O'Dome. Is it a product of having too many youthful players with great
talent that haven't yet figured out what to do when faced with a
challenge?

I think that you hit the nail on the head. We have four sophomores who
are talented. Much is expected of them as it has been since their
first game. I still feel like Tubby will turn it around. The big
question is that this year or next year?
