As a major-leaguer, Alomar was "protected" by the union and suspension
procedures in the contract. Young has no union to hide behind leaving him at
the mercy of baseball.

Alomar was suspended five games for that. The incident occurred late in
the '96 season, but he didn't have to serve his suspension until the
following season, allowing him to play in the '96 playoffs.
