Sorry Jimmy, I have to disagree with you. I joined up, because my father had been an infantry officer, but during the 3 years I was in - '65 to '68, I knew a lot of people who joined up to beat the draft. Their thoughts were that if they picked the right MOS, they would either be stateside or REMFs. During that time, the rumor was that draftees almost always ended up 11B, and recruiters from all of the services used that fact to lure young men in with some kind of bull*** about having more control over their destinies if they joined up rather than getting drafted.

I think that you need to take a few deep breaths, and take a look at Chuck's "confession", as it is pretty clear that it was tongue in cheek. You had been making pretty lucid posts until Chuck started posting again a two or three weeks ago, but it seems to me that you have lost it - seriously.
