I like Mike to the point of trying to involve him----he's a walking

USPA Membership is falling
off, ever wonder why?

Well, USPA lost one membership after around February 1999 for one very
clear reason, to be sure.

they're jacking people for, that this is breaking them and ~that~ is
why numbers are down? In your own, self-affirming world, sure. Cut

btw) quite naturally due to the old seven years of so of membership
before some members generally drift away and find other pursuits -
and the 1999/2000 period numbers were on the upside. But this is not
to say that this, unlike what you say - you pin it to one imutable
reason, is the only reason for numbers being down - just a
contributing one. Further is a matter of economics - as time has gone
by prices everywhere have gone up - especially petroleum products
which effects a variety of seemingly unrelated but certainly related
products and necessities. Further, as skydivers get older things
happen in their lives, be it kids or jobs, or prison, or even
infirmity which gets in the way of people continuing on. On top of
that, standards are tougher - less people are falling through
thecracks and becoming barely marginable skydivers - less are making
the cut but the ones which are are better prepared than say, perhaps
the jumpers who were in your FJC.
