Long ago, when it was normal to solder things that you could actually see without magnifying optics, they were one of the stores you bought stuff at. Not the best one, but one of them. They used to sell mostly components. LOTS of components, not much crap. At some point they changed. Now you buy stuff there only because they're closer than Fry's, and most of the stuff is recognizable by non techno-geeks.
And C & H is closing. Feh.
