Theft of what services? The services were paid for! When they start
giving refunds to me when I go home at 4pm but paid for an all-day
pass, maybe this angle will have some merit. Maybe. Until then, the
only theft here that I see is the hoped for theft of money out of my
wallet for services I won't receive.

Sure. Why not? Who is going to want to see half a movie?

Sure. I have a seat. What does it matter who sits in that seat. If I
left 50% of the way through the show, guess how much of the value I
got from the investment? 50%. It's not like people could do this and
gain value. No one sees half a show and get a full show.

Absolutely. The service was paid for.

We can keep going. Next you'll try to say, as I noted elsewhere, that
friends who come to my house can watch my TV or use my phone, or any
of my electric, or finish any food I couldn't eat simply because I
paid for the service. Do you charge all your friends when they come to
your house and watch a DVD? You can bet if the DVD people could find a
way from keeping that from happening, they'd do it.

Again, explain to me where the business, in any of these examples,
lost out? I had a seat. The person I give the seat to sits in the same
seat. He buys a single beer and, guess what? The business is ahead of
where they'd be given my early exit.

Let's take this to it's full extreme to expose this for the sham it
is. Let's, for the sake of argument, say that a baseball team sells
out the building and, at the end of the first half-inning of play, all
45,000 fans get up and go home. I'd be willing to bet my house that
the owner, in such a case, would be absolutely willing to let 45,000
totally new people use the tickets of those who left because large
numbers of those people will buy hats, peanuts, beer, food, etc. So if
it's good for 45,000 people, it's good for 1 person.

And between us I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm the only one that
owns his own business. Just a guess though.

So, right back to my point, the current system is a sham and isn't
working.

Likely that I'll use both.
