Actually, generators are far more pleasant than guns.  They hum along
instead of making loud bangs (except for the backfires) and provide
beneficial electricity rather than killing people.  And if you count
the posts, I'd say gun posts outnumber generators posts here at least
10,000-1.

Sounds like it should be possible to have the guns making a continous
noise with the potential to equal the humming of generators. At least
at a distance.
