all very interesting but no cendemnation of their comments about the Australain bushfires

So search.
I found Christian leaders decrying their positins, even making the case that the're un-Christian.

not on this matter

Have you looked?

That isn't a rhetorical question.
Should be pretty straightforward.
Have you looked?

I'll take that as a "no". Given how you've not looked, it's not surprising that you've not heard about it.

Just like the Moslem Church. Seems it really is stupid to condemn a whole Church on the basis of a few nutters

Got a specific condemnation in mind?

Just general musing about comments made on ngs and radio in Australia

I'll have to see a specific example. After all, you think a poem about how "not all Muslims are terrorissts" reflects an extremist nutter position,

I posted on a thread " Religion of Peace and Religion" which turned out to be about a single court case not about a religion in general after reading a post on another ng with " not all terrorist are Moslems but all Moslems are terrorists" being the posters signoff. It got me musing why a whole religion could be condemned on the basis of nutters

A court case in Saudi Arabia, where they adhere to a strict interpretation of Islam.
40 lashes for asking two men who aren't immediate relatives for 5 loaves of bread.

from the article:
"Saudi Arabia's strict interpretation of Islam prohibits men and women who
are not immediate relatives from mingling. It also bars women from driving,
and the playing of music, dancing and many movies also are a concern for
hard-liners who believe they violate religious and moral values."

Now, there was this:
Complaints from Saudis have been growing that the religious police and
courts are overstepping their broad mandate and interfering in people's
lives, and critics lambasted the handling of Sawadi's case.

"How can a verdict be issued based on suspicion?" Laila Ahmed al-Ahdab, a
physician who also is a columnist for Al-Watan, wrote Monday. "A group of
people are misusing religion to serve their own interests."

Sawadi told the court she considered al-Anzi as her son, because she
breast-fed him when he was a baby. But the court denied her claim, saying
she didn't provide evidence. In Islamic tradition, breast-feeding
establishes a degree of maternal relation, even if a woman nurses a child
who is not biologically hers.

Now, you could consider them to be "just a few nutters" but the Saudi government represents Islam.
Kind of like if the Vatican decided to excommunicate someone.

Did you ask the other person about the sig?
Now, interestingly, I did a search with "not all terrorist are Moslems but all Moslems are terrorists", and your message was the only reference.
I then tried
"not all terrorist are Muslims but all Muslims are terrorists"
and received no hits.

What ng was this?

aus.politics I beleive but google group searches don't include sigs do they?

.
