Don't I just wish that were true. I'm not even sure that the number of
crooked feds to total feds is smaller than the number of crooked cops to
total cops. We'll probably never know, particularly since the feds are so
much better at covering things up. Fortunately for the country, as a whole,
the number of bad cops and bad feds, is relatively small.
The point was never to suggest that all, or even a large percentage of cops
are a problem. The point was, and still is, that you can't count on law
enforcement officers as your only source of protection from crime.
Sometimes, it's the law enforcement officers, themselves, that are the
criminals. The only reason that problem cops keep coming up is that they are
the ones most liberals are looking to for protection.
