They are rather closed-mouth about the whole affair, but the hints thrown
out are lung-related. Lambertson is leading the study, which has been
going on for four or five years. I'm guessing no one wants to throw panic
into the recreational community, not that the rec community might take
exposure limits out of context.

I may run into an old friend that is close to the NEDU this weekend, I'll
pump him for info if I do.

They are probably keeping quiet because someone discovered that smoking
makes you less vulnerable to long term O2 exposure, just as it makes you
more tolerant to short term CO exposure.
