Re: The Democrat's Candidate

I work for a living and pay into the program.

What program might that be that you pay in to?

Whatever program it is that Hillary is proposing. At present, I pay into
Medicare, just like every other working American.

Where is your share determined? Did you receive an invoice and send an
extra $10 out of goodness?

Dream on. Right now, my share is based on a percentage of my income. Those
with no income, pay nothing, but benefit the same as everyone else. Perhaps,
my share should be the total cost divided by the number of people in the
program instead. That's how we'd do it if we were sharing gas cost . . . or
were you planning on paying more out of the goodness of your heart . . . for
people who are there without permission.

Do you have pictures of their smiling faces and hands out like the Save
the Children organization?
http://www.savethechildren.org/programs/us-literacy-and-nutrition/

They're all over the internet. Do your own research.

Your efforts help millions - just how much is that per person? (Divide
your contribution by as many millions as you help to get the per person
amount.)

Do your own research. The budget is on the internet too, as is the estimated
number of homeless, illegals and welfare cases.

Is "nice guy" the same as full of shit?

Perhaps in your case.

I also give them full social security benefits,

Wow! You must write one hell of a bunch of checks each month. Is your
arm tired from writing checks or patting yourself on your back?

They take it directly out of my salary every other week. I don't even get to
see the money before it's gone.

even though they didn't pay a dime into that program either.

You keep their accounts too?

My branch of the government does.

Never mind that Social Security is darned near bankrupt, it's the right
thing to do.

You liberals are all alike.

Perhaps you think the VA has higher quality measures than private health
care. Some of us don't share your opinion.

How many years did you say you served in the military?

None, how many did you serve? What does the number of years in the military
have to do with the quality of the health care offered? You think perhaps,
you have to be there to know. As it happens, my grandfather, father and
mother were all in the military. They all earned VA benefits, including
medical, and I got the dubious pleasure of managing the care of my mother in
her last few years. What's your experience with the US VA? I, on the other
hand, have spent the last 35 years working for the federal government. You
can bet our last nickle that we don't depend on VA care. We picked our own
plan. Imagine that. What's good enough for the masses, isn't good enough for
the government. Why whould we want to give up our good health plans for
their poor one . . . at a higher cost?

We all need to remember what government service is. That's where you're
paid by the people because you can't get a real job. It's a step above
welfare only because you're paid more than the welfare recipient. The
government worker provides no goods or services. Payment of wages to
government workers is taking money out of the hands of people producing
goods and services (actually working) and giving it to those not producing
anything with the net consequence of more dollars chasing too few goods.
In other words Lee, you are cause of inflation and not the solution to
poverty or health care.

Yeah right.
