Too late. You've already let that genie outa the tin cup with your
unrelenting aggrandizement of guns. All that's available now is to
start the long slow process of untraining the bad guys to believe that
guns are the way to a successful life of crime. Unfortunately that
doesn't play very well to your self-image of rootin'-tootin'
gunslingin' heroism. So as Mike says there's not much to look forward
to now but escalation. Thanks for this brave new world, or is it just
a rerun of the frontier days?

Funny... I don't remember the characters in "Brave New World" being allowed to carry weapons. It's
been a while since I read it though.
