Perhaps... There are those of us here that believe that hiding is not
the best defense... Instilling fear in the hearts of your potential
stalkers might have a better effect...

One look at me and you'd know that just won't happen. I look as threatening as a rabbit.

Oh, is it *that* unique? Hmmm... I guess that means that you name
must not be "Smith", "Nguyen", or some other very common name...

Like I said earlier, the FAA registry is a bad thing. I used a fake name while posting in r.a.p. five years ago, did the same thing when I started posting again last year, because of that reason. Yeah, I'm not in the phone book, but I am in that damn database.

Perhaps you might just want to create an online persona with an email
account on Yahoo or Gmail corresponding to that persona...

I believe that's what I have done. The email is valid. At least, it should be.

With regards to your initial question, I suspect that you're making
too much out of the need for refresher training after having been away
from diving for awhile... It really is like riding a bike -- it comes
back to you very quickly...

I don't know. I can't even think of how everything goes together. I don't own my own gear, so it's not like I can practice at home, and I doubt anyone would rent me anything. Yeah, maybe it would come back easily, but when you're talking about something that can easily kill you, I'm not sure I want to test that. The older I get, the more risk adverse I get. Honestly, the actual diving part doesn't worry me, I'm sure the skills are there, somewhere (although since I've only made four dives, that's debateable) it's the putting the equipment together.
