pun intended. Ocean navigation tends to rely much more on observation of
physical features than confined water navigation. People who dive oceans
all the time, usual learn to do it unconsciously. Those that don't, tend
not to do it at all. Like I said, it's amusing, particularly when it's a
highly trained/certified diver that falls that provides the amusement.
Instructors are the most fun, PADI instructors in particular.

Shame of it is that the typical currents there are extremely minimal.
