Sure it does. If I create noise at a higher energy level than the
transmitter in your alarm, it is worthless.

Same with cell phone blockers


I have three dogs - two who will bite.  If they get past all that - and
we are home they have a other defenses to worry about.  By the time the
alarm company calls and verifies a problem, dispatches the police, the
police arrive it could be 15 minutes or longer.  I will control the
situation.



Sorry, it has no effect on the transmitter. My younger brother is an electrical engineer, he deals mostly with data, voice and electrical transmissions. He ran several sophisticated tests with instruments to test the very thing. In each case the signal was transmitted with no interference to the alarm company. Test included burglary, fire and panic.

I am sure that there is something that can jam a radio signal effectively, but in my case (and most) it just isn't worth it - there is nothing in my house worth that effort to steal - one reason why I leave the doors unlocked.
