Actually, if you look a bit closer, you'll find that I am, and plan to
continue, avoiding travel as much as possible, saving both myself and my
employers, including you, as much as possible. When I must travel to do the
job I am assigned to do, I expect, like all other employees, to have my
travel expenses covered. You have consistently expressed your belief that
many services should be provided by the government. Surely, you know that
somebody has to pay for them, just as somebody pays you for the services you
provide.

Just as you charge your expenses to your business and clients, I need to be
able to do the same. If the only choices are use of a personal vehicle at
great, unremembered expense to the employee, or use of more expensive modes
of transportation that are authorized and paid for by the employer, which
would you chose?

If you don't like the system you, change it.

Do you make your other employees use their vehicles for your profit, at
their loss?
