Thank a lawyer.
Perhaps.
Health insurance costs are directly related to corporate profits.
For instance, do you think the CEO of the insurance company that paid out to not only the woman who suffered a miscarriage, but the 3 million to John Roberts cut that check out of his personal account?
How much did the legal costs of defending that case cost the insurance company, which is an around about way of saying how much did it cost the people who buy insurance?
They, and the Bar, pass the savings on to us, the consumer.
I said "perhaps". I did NOT say you were wrong. THere is more than enough blame to go around.
Honest days work? Doubtful. Honest wage? NO. (Broom pushers started at $14/hour). Exploitation? Only by the union.
It sounds like a typical union thing, like the steelworkers used to pull until all the mills went bankrupt.
Now they got nuthin.
Thank a lawyer.
Nope, blame the steelworkers. Union job rules, pay, etc. destroyed their jobs.
Those were people, just like you and I, who wanted to do an honest days work, and get paid an honest wage. If the steel industry couldnt accomplish that without exploiting the workers, they didnt deserve to be in business. So, how much money are the corporate entities in that business making today?
Sorry, THe situation may not be the same as over there, but I can tell you, THE UNION DID IT TO THEMSELVES. Lack of productivity, antiquated work rules enforced only to keep the number of union jobs high(and for the dues that they generated). Protection for non productive workers (you can't fire folks who show up drunk or stoned, late or even for fighting at work).
They did it to themselves here.
Again, perhaps your situation there is different.
But I wouldn't be too sure that striking is a good idea when the competition from Airbus is so strong. Airbus may be subsidised, but Boeing is not. Some job is better than none. Having some insurance is better than none.
Where the steel mills here subsidized by the government as the steel mills
in China and Japan were?
What does that matter?
I am not saying that unions dont become destructive at some point, but it isnt all the fault of someone who just wants to do the best he can for his family.
True, right up until the union destroys your job. THe union is composed of its members.
Not a lawyer in the bunch. They did it to themselves.
Horse***.
Lawyers on the Union side, and lawyers on the corporate side, and both made a bucket full on the backs of the people who lost, arguing.
And who paid the salaries of the lawyers ?

Rest assured: I am up to something
