 This morning at` Beaverhead Deer Lodge National Forest walking some
abandoned railroad tracks and tunnels at 6000 ft,, and now I'm in Butte
about to get a steak at the Flytin' J.

 It's 34 sweet degrees out, and I got the classic "Big Sky" above me.

Tomorrow night, I'll meet my 78th, 79th and 80th Rec.scubans, and a few 

I

already know.

 A good time will be had by all.

Wish you were here, and I mean that.

Butte is kind of an armpit (and one of the largest open pit mines on earth),
but the sky is good.

The best part of your trip is yet to come.

If you have time go visit the old State Pen in Deer Lodge.

Then when you get to Missoula you'll be dead in the middle of the rockies,
with the Mission Range to your north, then on through the Cabinet Mountains
to Idaho.

I am jealous, wish I was making the drive and I was born there. 


  Maybe Mike has some babes at the water cooler.
