Hi,
I am average runner and I've been running for 4 years now. I do about
25 to 30 km in a week. The reason for this post is this; the last 2
years I have had a cold up to 5 times per year. Well to be precise; 4
colds in 2007 and 5 in 2008. This year I've already had 2...
I've read that grownups can have 5 colds per year but I would think
that because I work out a bit be going running my immune system would
be stronger to prevent this.
I've discussed this with my doctor who think it could be related to my
how fever allergy (grass allergy), but it only bothers me during the
month of May. It's never been investigated that my cold's are related
with this. I have this allergy since I was 12 and never had any
problems with having that many colds per year.
I take some extra vitamins, sometimes twice a year and watch what I
eat to keep in shape. I'm really annoyed by this problem because I
would like to run longer distances which is not easy to train for if
you have a cold every 3 months.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks,
Bart
I say you should cut back on your scissoring. I know Michelle will
disagree, but she's a real scissoring freek, and believes you should
scissor throuh colds, flu, etc.I take a more moderate approach.
