8 and change is very decent for someone running just a year. Given
the weight that you have dropped and that you have only been running a
year it sounds like you have a huge upside potential!
I suspect Javier did not tell us the whole story. It's impossible
to drop weight with just running. I am pretty sure he cut his calory
consumption by something like 66%.
I myself have been through the same thing, although not that extreme.
I lost 20 kilograms (45 pounds?) in five months, but it was mainly because
of stopping eating like a swine.
Hey... 45 pounds in five months is excellent. If I can drop another 10
I'm happy. It's getting tough to drop the pounds now, I eat well but
Absolute numbers are meaningless. Excessive weight is easy to drop.
This is just a nature of excessivness. Assuming the person is otherwise
healthy of course.
I would like to drop another 10 too. But I suspect that if we hit a
plateau, this means we reached our ideal weight, beleive it or not.
I am six one at 165. I do want to be something like 155, but I see
the qualitive difference here. It took me almost no effort to get to
165. And it takes me a huge effort to cut a single pound off of this.
I do it, it comes and goes. But does not stay. Probably, it is time
to relax.
if I cut down on anymore calories I don't feel well.
Try to cope with it for a while. In my case it was purely psycological.
After two weeks I felt no difference, no hunger feeling, no discomfort
whatsoever. And this is now my style of living, five years. No complains.
