Doug:
How does the megadose of C affect your appetite?
Can't say as either my modest five-fold daily increase in C taken
orally, or having another five times that much (about an ounce by
weight, come to think of it) dripped into my veins over the course of
an hour, seems to affect my appetite one way or the other. Maybe if I
got my ascorbic acid like your hero Karno - in the form of pineapple
atop a large pizza - that'd have me eating less the rest of the day.
But these little gelcaps are like the old saw about Chinese food,
except I'm already hungry again in seconds.
People will think the belly bloat is a baby.
Only fairly serious runners (whom I'll tell it's yours and we've
chosen the name "lance" if it's a boy, "TBR" if it's a girl, and "lil'
Doggie Dougie" if it's a puppy) and anyone accustomed to seeing me
nekkid. I'm not nearly *that* chunky, not even by NYC standards, some
of the nation's most stringent.
I was, however, ready for maternity duds on the eve of my running
career half a decade ago.
