I'm targeting May 1st as my return to running. This is my longest
break from running since 1985.
That's a long break for a pulled muscle. I presume you've seen a pysiotherapist or someone with an interest in sports injuries?
Tim
It was a groin pull, and medical folklore from the Web seems to hint that groin pulls can take 6 months or longer to heal. To make matters worse, I went to a sporting goods store and bought a special black rubbery bandage that is supposed to promote healing... my skin had a reaction to the rubbery material (polypropylene?) and broke out, and some skin bacteria got under my skin and caused an abscess that the doctor had to drain. Am on antibiotics now. All this from running uphill for a few minutes!
I'll take your suggestion (also from previous post about MT). I've had bad luck with sports injuries in the past... I go to a specialist who sees me for 5 mins, takes an X-ray or two, tells me to not to run for 2 weeks, and then mails me a bill for many hundreds of dollars.
