CP, hey my man. you were clocking so many freaking crazy miles so
early in '07...was wondering how in the heck are you going to maintain
this. i am glad to see you ease off the odometer a bit and imo 40-60
is where you want to be before some grand build up. My knee is 90%
and I'm at about 40 mpw now and not racing....even pulled out of next
months ING Bay To Breakers 12K in SF. Goal is to hit June 100% fit
and go for a 1:26:xx PR in the NYC Nike 1/2M on Aug 4 or 5 or whenever
it is, I'm in that race. Doubt I will race here in NYC before that
race, saw Donnie race today and cut 5:42/mile.....I suspect he's
living & enjoying real life, great time - but he's faster than that.
I heard there was 8000+ people racing in NYC today. Our damn racing
club is starting to feel like Microsoft and I can definitely now see
the appeal in joining a local club like Brooklyn or GNY, etc. You
gotta a time line about getting serious w/your running in '07 in the
context of racing? I'm going to get serious in the Nike NYC 1/2M in
Aug, Grete's Norwegian 1/2M, and the NYCM, that's it...if I race
anything else...as DF would say it's for shits and giggles.
