Re: I can run for 50 minutes at a slow pace 7min/kms. what's next?

I definitely go 7 hrs without food. Most of my hikes are around 10 hrs
and I never eat the peanuts and chocolate I take with me. I do have a
lot of adrenaline so maybe that is the reason. On a hot day, I will
start to get thirsty. When I am doing a relaxed easy hike, I will be
bored and will have an appetite for junk food.

I rest a week before
the event so i have lots of energy. I guess when I get faster I will
start to bump up against my energy limits. Right now I dont worry
about
water or carbohydrates during a race because I go so slow.

Or do you go slow because you don't worry about water or carbs?

Are you sure you're not trolling? You burn roughly 100 Kcal a mile be it
walking fast or running your ass off. The no water and no carbs is a
rookie error unless you're only going a few miles.

7 hrs (see 1st post) without fluids or fuel? Trolling or sometimes
ignorance is bliss, but doubt for 7 hrs. Although he might be absorbing
something when eskimo rolling the kayak.;)
