Thanks for the link. I'll take a look.

I've noticed that I can also provoke pain in the back of my right knee.
This has perhaps been masked by the IT band up to now.

I can provoke said pain by either:

1. Pulling my right foot tightly up to my rear.

2. Doing a deep squat.

3. Kneeling. Straight back.

It's uncomfortable rather than "OUCH". There is no pain in ascending
or descending stairs. Well, unless I've just aggravated the back of my
knee with one of the three things above.

It feels like it is where the hamstrings (?) meet the back of the knee,
as it seems to be the same place worked when I do hamstring exercises.

I wouldn't be surprised. Until the physio showed me the hamstring
exercises, I realised I had been doing them all wrong :-( I had just been
doing calf ones!

I'm not too good at the "kneeling" hamstring style of exercises though.
I'm much more comfortabel with either lying on my back with the leg up
in the air, or putting the leg on a chair and leaning into it.

Tris.
