Robb...I respect the fact that you do not want to discuss specific
details of how you run things in a public forum. I would think that
most of us on this site would operate in a similar manner. It is not
clear to me that "you don't ban nearly as many people as others would
suggest." I can email you privately, but the truth is, people who
operate with integrity should have nothing to hide. It is safe for you
to answer someone privately because there is not a system of checks
and balances at that point. Were I to ask you some questions privately
and then bring the results of our discussion to this forum to gain a
balanced perspective of what I heard you say...in other words to test
what you said...you would probably be offended that I did that.
Heck...I might even risk being banned from TPR if I ever decided to
try and join. What good does it do to ask you a question privately if
I have no means of verifying your answer in public?

This is an over simplification, but if I email you and ask you what
color your car is and you tell me green...how do I know that is the
truth? Even showing me a picture does not prove you are telling the
truth. Sure...show me the current registration and that would be
reputable. At that point...you could stand with confidence and tell me
that in a public forum because you would have solid proof.

There are plenty of people in this room that would represent you
truthfully because of their character...while others are bashing you.
I am simply looking for one example to disprove what someone has said
about you on this site. You say: "Clearly we don't ban nearly as many
people as you all would suggest" and steelforce said "You banned
everyone from GAP simply by association. You demanded they remove
themselves from that forum or be banned, just because someone
there posted this ... (took it out in order to respect your privacy)
yet most of the group had nothing to do with it, yet you banned them
all." Did you ban an entire group simply by association? If you have
proof that you did not then you should have no problem posting that on
this site. There is nothing complex about that. If you cannot answer
that simple question in a public forum then I would speculate one of
two things: 1. You do not have a "paper trail" that enables you to
answer the question thoroughly...if so simply say that to me. 2. You
have something to hide.

I do not have much of a clue as to what GAP is, but if I were a part
of that public forum in the past and you did what steelforce said you
did...I would be pissed. Not only would I be pissed, but if I had the
money and the time I would sue someone who did that to me for
discrimination. Help me to recognize that you did not do what you have
been accused of...heck...if you did do it then just admit it and then
extend an invitation for anyone who was effected by that decision to
email you privately if they would like to join TPR and you can decide
if their are 1-2 people who were banned inadvertently by association
that you feel are deserving of being given a second chance.

Please respond

Kirk,

We have plenty of customers who respect our business practices without
having to prove to them what color our car is. If you are interested
in what Theme Park Review has to offer, then I can tell you we are a
reputable business, regardless of what some people on this forum might
try to convince you of otherwise.

But I am not going to go into details about our business, nor post any
sensitive information in a public forum for anyone to see. Just as I
wouldn't expect you to post your social security number in a public
forum if I asked for it.

Do we have our proper business licenses, pay taxes, have insurance,
etc? Yes, absolutely. Many of the companies we do business with
(corporate theme parks, transportation companies, airlines, government
agencies, etc) would not be doing business with us if we did not.

There are people like Mike Kalley who simply do not like the fact that
we have become successful in our endeavors and will remain jealous of
us forever. He will try to convince you that we are an evil company
that don't do things by the book. He is 100% wrong. That's his and
others own personal twisted issue that he needs to deal with. Do you
see me poking into his private business or his personal life? No. I
do not care about his business nor the way he runs it or what is
currently going on with his family. The fact that he and others keep
posting such stories about my business and family are "stalker-like"
actions and I do not want to be associated with anyone who has treated
us as such.

In fact, just recently we had some members of this group try to
"crash" one of our events to where the hosting park had to ask them to
leave the event. That is the level of respect we get from the
companies we do business with. And those companies are the people who
I will answer to if they ask to see our company documents. But I will
absolutely NOT be disclosing that kind of information on a public
forum. If you think that is unreasonable, then we will just have to
simply disagree.

In my last post my response was clear and simple:

If you have a specific question that you would like to have answered,
please email me at robbalvey@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and
I will be happy to take up dialogue with you in private.

If you have questions about Bay Area Bash, I will be more than happy
to answer them in this forum.

I'm done answering questions about how Theme Park Review operates.
Email me privately if you would like to take this discussion further.
We are a privately held company and that is how this issue will
remain.
