And so it begins, the changes by In-Bev, biggest mistake selling out
to them for shareholders. Their excuse that the hospitality centers
had limited appeal is just BS. The one at SWF had a deli, and the
place was always packed. It gave people an reason to hang out at the
park. Sure, people can buy the beer, but it's not the same. Those
hospitality houses will be converted to restaurants, and it won't feel
like a place where you hang out.

I don't care, I've moved on to other things like skiing.

direct quote from Rob Viands "Rich people get bored, and end up in a
dangerous sport, like skiing into a tree (Sonny Bono)"

I would guess that additional beers like imports from inbev would
start showing up, and also competitors products, to further blur the
line between the parks and their current owners.

Ultimately, they probably are stopping the free beer cause people were
giving it to their kids......

Actually, beer tastes gross to kids, this was never an issue when it
came to beer. I've never given Ashley a beer, and haven't given her
a drink at home.

However, I did let Ashley sip a slushie drink at Margaritaville, and
there's the Jello shot incident. What does that tell you? What's
happening at Universal is entrapment. It's complete bull *** making
parents out to be bad people, when this never happens at home. It's
not like I'm whipping up pinacoladas and jello shots at home and
letting her try them. It's just something that can happen on vacation
and a stupid mistake.

The free beer was never an issue at the parks, people were not
stumbling around drunk, and they were not giving it to kids. It was
more of a way to get a little buzz on, get something for free, and a
reason to hang out.

In the past I'd visit SWF because I could have two samples, BUY a
couple beers, ride the coasters, walk around, eat something, then
leave. Now that's gone. I won't be going there to hang out.
Sure I can buy the beer, but it's not the same. So they lose out in
the end because less people will visit.

I don't think they'll bring in other brands to try in the future. This
is a bean counter at the top saying they can save money by putting in
restaurants instead. The problem is, less people will show up in the
long run. Foreign company trying to run an American company just
like Vivdendi did with Universal. Look at how that worked out.

And no, I'm not going to ski into a tree like Bono. Last year I was
on the same trail (Orion at Lake Tahoe) where Sonny Bono ate it, and I
survived. Next week I'm going to Camelback in the Poconos, January
11th - 13th. If anyone wants to meet up let me know, just send an e-
mail, it's at the bottom of my page.
