Re: Good Coaster Pants?

As a distance runner/marathoner I have had experience with the material
called by several different names; "Cool Max," "Dri Fast," Cool Move,"
"Stay Dry," "Dri Release," etc... It is usually a mixture of about 85%
polyester and 15% cotton in the shirts and normally 100% polyester in
pants or shorts. You may say "polyester? eeewww" but the material is so
thin that you really barely notice that you have anything on, it is
extremely comfortable. Believe me, I wouldn't wear anything less than
100% comfortable on a 10, 15 or 20+ mile run.
This material dries very fast and "pulls" sweat away from the body.
I rarely wear long pants running (only when the rare sub 30 degree
temps grace central Texas) but the long running pants I have are
amazing. They are warm enough for the start of a run when temps are in
the 20s yet I stay cool enough to run in them for 2 or 3 hours.
They also have pocket zippers. Runners lose things out of pockets, too
just as a coaster can claim items.
I don't like to take anything in pockets ever, especially at a park.
Usually the only thing I have in a pocket is a single car key and I've
never lost it, zippered pockets or not. I don't take money in most
parks and I don't use credit cards.
I would suggest a fitness/sports/running store to look for the above
described shirts & pants.

I'm very serious.

This may sound nuts, but I am desperately seeking advice on good pants for
long days riding coasters. I am tired of having cell phones, cash and
credit cards fly out of even the tightest pockets, and I long for pants that
will dry quickly after those giant flume rides that deluge riders with water
but which I love dearly. It seems more and more parks are unwilling to
allow riders to leave personal items in the station and frankly, I'd rather
not have loose baggage to carry anyway.

Shorts of any kind are not an option at this juncture in the genesis of my
legs.

We'll be in Southern California early in October - so any ideas will be much
appreciated and tested soon!
