Wow - coming from Sean, that's really saying something!
I've thought a lot about the current intensity and the "future"
assuming it breaks in, and I think they actually *can* keep it running
like this.
First, the thing is impeccably tracked - remove that one 'gotcha'
before the 3rd 90 degree during the offseason, keep the maintenance
tight, and I think they'll be okay. There is added support structure on
ALL of the intense spots, so the engineering was thought out with
regards to the intensity.
As for the public - I think the coaster is more balls out with
airtime/laterals, but I honestly don't think it's ever going to get to
the point where it would hurt someone or be too much in a way as say,
those 2 ultra-mean ejector hills on the PNE Coaster are when it's
running top notch - the forces will certainly increase in spots, but I
don't think it's going to cause any intensity related problems. The
question, and one that may only be answered at years end, is how the
track holds up. I still think anyone who is remotely into wood coasters
seriously needs to drop all and everything and get there this year, the
earlier the better, just in case....
