I can't recall stories about anyone falling out of a Schwarzkopf coaster that had lap bars. (One of these days the ride owners will realize that Anton knew what he was doing!) I've also never heard of any official reasons why Thriller (or Revolution now that I think about it) had the shoulder restraints added.
